The treatment of dielectric oil is a major operation in the maintenance of a transformer, these treatments can be carried out with or without switch off of the transformers and make it possible to guarantee a controlled ageing of the transformer and to ensure a service rate in conformity with waitings. The treatment consists to filter, dehydrate and degas the dielectric oil of the transformer.
Filtration makes it possible to eliminate the solid particles (paper, copper, steel).
Dehydration makes it possible to extract dissolved water in oil.Water comes mainly from the decomposition of celluloses.
Degasification makes it possible to extract gases dissolves in oil. They come mainly from the rise in temperature produced by the arcs and partial discharges.
